Okay, let's talk about ESG, Environmental Sustainable governance. Way back, at the beginning of this decade, the United Nations was pushing this regulatory compliance thing to make sure that you know, you're not doing damage, you're not greenwashing, as they say, your business to be able to get tax breaks and funding for your project.
And anyhow, to make a long story short, we did all kinds of work to make all these products at a new energy ESG compliant. So kind of like counting calories when you're gaining too much weight and you need to lose weight so you count carbon calories and a number of other things. So there's social where you're impacting the community and lifting up the community. You're not leaving them behind, you're not going in and taking all the money and the resources. You're doing a lot of things to promote equality and all that.
So we checked, I think it was 13 out of the 17 ESGs, way back when we were writing business plans for ESG compliance. And a lot of that was you had to do that in order to get access to this, green capital. So the Climate Bonds initiative people, you know, they, they need you to, you know, get your, your project ESG certified. Some of that still is relevant.
But what happened at some of the later COPE, conferences, I think it was in Glasgow that the big banks came in and they said, you know what, we provided all this green funding to make the transition to renewable energy and and help fight the climate crisis. But the United Nations was doing a poor job at deploying capital and this ESG thing was kind of binding everything up. And so we still work to comply with this.
And it's kind of our secret sauce that we just are always trying to lift up communities that have been left behind and we do that with raising capital for them and creating a lot of jobs. We believe we can create tens of thousands of jobs with one factory. And they're the new sustainable renewable energy jobs, the new economy.
And so this page that you're on here, talks about the jobs, talks about the governed standards that I was just mentioning, inclusion, how we bring everybody together. We even have a mobile app that teaches kids at an early age about technologies and trade schools and trying to get them to, to work with their hands. Because let's face it, AI is going to come in and take away a lot of these white collar jobs and your college education is going to be not very useful. So we think that the trades are really important.
So we have a whole program within new energy that guys, like me, we've learned how to make things with our hands and program robots and wire up machines that need to get this knowledge out of our heads and into the next generation before we die. And so we do that through the youth. So we're big at, you know, training, you know, everybody. So anyhow, this is a bit about that. And, anyhow, thank you very much for listening. Our sustainability product design framework starts with the periodic table: find materials that use earth-abundant elements and are easily manufactured. That's why we favor stainless steel over aluminum, electrical-grade aluminum over copper, and ferrite magnets over rare earths.
The result: products with zero VOCs, a design target of 85% recyclability by weight and carbon-neutral manufacturing — designed to serve for 50 years, not five.

Recyclability is expressed as a design target — 85% of the finished product by weight — assessed against materials that have established, commercially operating recycling routes. ANEW’s products are pre-production, and ANEW does not operate take-back or recycling facilities. Achieved recovery will vary by jurisdiction, by recycler and by the condition of the returned unit. These are engineering estimates, not certified or independently verified results, and are subject to change as designs are finalised. Carbon-neutral manufacturing and the 50-year service life are likewise design targets for the production system, not measured outcomes of an operating plant.

Beyond the checklist
Inclusion is a design principle.
Climate Bonds, the ISO systems, UL and CE are how ANEW proves what it does. They are not why it does it.
Not an ethic — a requirement. There is a difference between inclusion as a moral position and inclusion as a description of how living systems stay alive. Every part of a system has to participate for the whole to stay healthy; circulation has to reach the extremities or the body stops working. Read that way, energy poverty is a fault the system will eventually pay for — which is why the S in our ESG is affordable products, trades taught in ten languages and downstream work owned by local businesses.
Measure health, not just output. A doctor does not ask you to run a hundred metres. They take your blood pressure and pulse — intrinsic indicators, none of them the outcome anyone cares about, all of them predicting it. Most corporate reporting measures the sprint and infers the health. We report materials composition, recyclability, VOC content, carbon intensity and verified certifications because they are diagnostic.
The silent party
Every deal has a third party. It never gets consulted.
Two parties sign an energy contract. A third pays part of the cost and is not in the room — no signature, no counsel, no vote. Prices left out both the source the material came from and the sink the waste goes into, and the living world funded the difference.
The root of it is a story about separation. The belief that humans stand apart from the web of life rather than inside it is what lets an economy treat a living planet as an externality. Restated as a design brief it is not mystical at all: if you are inside the system you draw from, damage to it is damage to you, on a delay. Which makes the planet not a cause a company may sponsor, but a counterparty whose terms it is already bound by.
Speaking for it, in the only language a manufacturer has
- Source — earth-abundant materials, avoiding the extraction-heavy mineral chains the transition is otherwise built on.
- Sink — zero VOCs, 85% recyclability by weight as a design target, carbon-neutral manufacturing. End of life designed in, not discovered later.
- Time — a targeted 50-year life. The greenest unit is the one that never had to be built twice.
- Displacement — affordability is reach. Power cheap enough for the places still burning fuel is what removes carbon from the world, not from a report.
- Verification — device-signed data, so what we claim on the planet’s behalf is measured in hardware.
